Fort Meade Community Garden plots are available to residents of Corvias on a first come, first serve basis. The Victory Gardens were established to meet the resident need and request for a place to grow produce/vegetation. As part of the Installation’s 90th Anniversary, the space was dedicated to commemorate the Victory Gardens planted by citizens during WWI and WWII in support of the war effort.
Most garden plots are 12’ x 15’ and water is available throughout the fenced-in area. A shed is also available for storage of gardening equipment. There is no cost to garden; however, general rules will be enforced. The Victory Gardener’s Association is responsible for setting the bylaws. Any Corvias resident interested in a garden plot can contact the Heritage Park Neighborhood Office at 410-672-2000 and will be requested to fill out this form.
Corvias’s Community Garden Policies and Procedures state residents maintaining a plot during the season will have the first right of refusal to maintain the plot during the following seasons. This allows residents a chance to become actively involved in the Victory Gardener’s Association for multiple seasons.
Fort Meade’s Bark Park is located at Ernie Pyle Road near CDCIII. The park welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes and is a self-police facility. For more information, please call 301.677.3810/3981.
